Worthing Regatta--- 2004

Junior IV gain their first win at first regatta!!

Worthing was to be a different kettle of fish for the Junior crew than the previous pre-season race victory at Herne Bay. The winds increased, the sea picked up not to say the temperature plumetted as our boys took to the water.

Experienced cox Mrs Fiona Knight gets ready to take Steve Callar, George Cullingford, Greg Duke and Ben Muggridge onto the waters to Victory!!

Pictured above Hastings had their usual poor start amongst a melee of other crews.

However Fiona steered them out of trouble ready for the first dash.

A crummy picture of the turns. However they were by now up to second place!

It was still anyones race.

But we edged into the lead!

Congratulations as we stormed over the winning line with a lead of a length and a half !!

The Club's first Junior IV win in over 7 years!!

So its extra training ready for a pot hunt this year and Junior Seniors next!
