Hastings Rowing Club- Homepage
Plymouth September 12 - 13th
Welcome to the 52nd South Coast Rowing Championships held this year in the West Country at Plymouth.
The Junior Regatta was held on Friday afternoon and the Championship Regatta on Saturday.
Friday was WET!!!

CARA ( Kent and Sussex), H&D (Hants and Dorset) and Weara (West of England) crews were represented.
The Junior Regatta was held first with 22 races in Sculls, Pairs and IV's
I have taken pictures of , almost, every crew including heats. Below is a web reduced version. However all the original pictures are on a CD. If your club would like a copy then please email me your address and I will send you one. Please distribute to other people in your club if required.
Apology1: If I have mis-identified crews. The tannoy quality was a bit incoherent at times. The accuracy of the information especially when race order was changed plus who had won was similar to that of Al-Jazeera during the gulf war!
Apology2: The pictures are not as good as I had hoped partly due to the poor lighting plus the long distance across the river to the action.
The pictures are taken near the end of the Junior race and about 1/2 way for the main regatta.

South Coast Championships . Most crews featured. Left Hastings Ladies battling it out while swans look on! |

Afterwards Coalporters did a ritual plunge in the sacred clear blue waters of the Plym.

A goodbye from Mr Dawes of Bexhill and
see you all hopefully at Folkestone next year.
