Once again the weather and conditions were perfect for our regatta. The wind was very light , the sun shone with occasional clouds to cool the beach down for the action to come and the beach had grown all along the area so there was plenty of space for all the clubs attending boats.

However before the regatta can start lets send our thanks to the umpires and lifeguards who resolutely manned their boat all day!!

On land there were the St John Ambulance in attendance, all those in the Committee tent plus many more. A big thanks to you all.

The first race of the day was the Junior IV on which we had high hopes of a win. Alas it was not to be as they were struck by another crew at the dans and in spite of being in the lead were not given a re-row! Click on the image to get more pictures.

The Senior Pair of Paul Knight and Ian Smith are welcomed back to the beach by our President Mr Maurice Oram.

At last the Club has a Ladies IV consisting of Kathy, Kelly, Stephanie and Ella with cox Fiona

Ian Smith represented the Club in the challenging Junior Sculls race.

Battle of the Sexes as the Hastings Novice IV girls take on the boys. It was close, very close!

The Veterans are back in town!!
Straight out of the Vaults and afterwards to the oxygen tent!
Congratulations to Bob, Simon, Allan and Nick!!!

The Junior Crew bravely decided to represent the Club at Junior Senior Level and very commendably came 3rd.

Bob Salmon and Mandy represented the Club at the new event of Mixed Double Sculls and came 3rd!!!

Mr Colin Chatfield deciding that they were a "Dan too far" and wisely retired.

However Captain Bob Salmon decided to battle on and finished the race.

Mr Colin Chatfield was delighted. It was the taking part which counted!!

Ah By Golly it does you good!
