Hastings & St. Leonards Rowing Club

Folkestone Regatta Saturday July 24th

From Beautiful hot day to wind driven Rough Seas

It was a wonderful hot day with the sun shining down giving sun tans to everyone. The seas were calm as our first Hastings rower, Captain Bob Salmon, continued his lonely pursuit of other boats in the Junior sculls.

First round the dans was Chris Doswell of Bexhill leading Bob Hoskins of Herne Bay and no 8 A Squibb of Dover.

However they were closely followed by Our man drawn in lane 1.

Below in the 2nd heat Mark King storms up to the dans and qualifies for the final. Well done Mark.

The Mens Senior Pair Final was next and at the dans had Bexhill's Mitchell Brothers easily first followed by Herne Bay's Bob Hoskins and D. Ingram.

.

Above the Deal Junior-Senior crew including L Armstrong, T Glinn & M Emerson easily reach the dans first.

However they were getting lonely by the time they left the dans and hadn't met anyone!
