Hastings & St. Leonards Rowing Club

Eastbourne Regatta Sunday July 10th 2005

The day the Veterans came good!

The weather was really hot once again for the Eastbourne 2005 regatta and so was the rowing!

A large contingent of support on the beach from Hastings saw a newly formed Novice IV crew almost get to the finals.

Beauty and the Beastie Boys!

Well done to Ben Arnold, Brian McNeilly, a brave Ella, Brian Hempstead and the ever young Mr John Crowther.

The Club had two entrants for the Junior Sculls. Above Mark "Wink at the Camera" King coolly won his heat to get to the final.

Below Captain Bob was narrowly beaten in his heat.

The Hastings Supporters were really getting excited as the Senior IV's took to the water!

Our IV consisted of Paul Knight, Roger Roberts, Mark King and stroke Ian Smith and in her debut as a cox Paul's daughter Eloise!

Eloise took steering one of the fastest crews on the South Coast through a minefield of rival boats like a duck to water!

Let's take Folkestone next!

Storming past, Eloise ensures she gets the most from Mark and Ian. Well done to the crew and a tremendous first coxing race for Eloise.
